Sarnafil Roof Systems - Low maintenance technology you can trust.
Whether a new build or a roof refurbishment, Sarnafil roofing systems installed by Buckstone Roofing Scotland will provide a low maintenance roofing solution which is independently certified to have a life expectancy in excess of 40 years.
Any of the 4 options listed below can be used on a new or refurbishment project. We will advise you which option will best suit your requirements based on the results of the roof survey.

| Mechanically Fastened | Adhered | Ballasted | Green Roof |
Mechanically Fastened - The Sarnafil membrane is attached to the roof structure along one edge using specially designed fasteners and metal pressure plates. The next sheet of Sarnafil covers the fasteners and the sheets are hot air welded together to form a joint stronger than the membrane itself.
Adhered - The Sarnafil membrane is bonded to the substrate using a Sarnacol adhesive. Individual sheets of Sarnafil are overlapped and hot air welded together to form a joint stronger than the membrane itself.
Ballasted - The Sarnafil membrane is loose laid over the substrate with individual sheets overlapped and hot air welded together. If creating a balcony a Sarnafil filter fleece is laid over the membrane prior to the installation of paving pad supports and paving slabs. Alternatively the membrane can be covered in 20mm - 40mm river washed gravel ballast after the installation of a Sarnafil filter fleece.
Green Roof - Instead of using paving slabs or ballast a loose laid Sarnafil membrane is covered with a Sarnafil drainage mat, growing medium and plants.
